Proofreading questions
Is proofreading enough, or do I need editing?
If your text reads clearly and reviewers have not raised language concerns, proofreading is usually enough. If the manuscript needs work on flow, structure or academic tone, Editing + Proofreading is the right level. Upload the file and the quoting editor will recommend the lighter option whenever it is sufficient.
Will you change my meaning or my voice?
No. Proofreading corrects surface errors only: spelling, grammar, punctuation and citation format. Your argument, structure and phrasing stay exactly as you wrote them, and every correction is visible as a tracked change you can reject.
How do tracked changes work?
You receive your Word document with every correction recorded. Review each change and accept or reject them individually or all at once. A clean, already-accepted version is included as well.
Can you follow my journal's style guide?
Yes. Tell us the target journal or attach the guide, and both the language conventions and the in-text citation format are corrected to match, including APA, MLA, IEEE, Harvard and Chicago.
How fast can it be done?

Express 48-hour delivery doubles the rate. There are no minimum fees, subject surcharges or hidden extras, and the quote can only come in lower after an editor reviews the file, never higher.
What is the difference between proofreading and copyediting?
Proofreading is the final surface pass: spelling, grammar, punctuation, typos and citation format, with your phrasing left intact. Copyediting, which we offer as Editing + Proofreading, additionally reworks sentence structure, clarity, coherence, discipline wording and academic tone. If reviewers commented on the writing rather than just errors, you need the editing level; if the text reads well and only needs correctness, proofreading is enough.
Do you proofread theses and dissertations before submission?
Yes, PhD theses, Master's theses and dissertations are the largest share of our proofreading work.
