Passive voice is a grammatical tool, not a flaw. It moves the receiver of an action into the spotlight and lets the doer recede, which is sometimes exactly right and sometimes a problem. An active sentence puts its actor in subject position. The first two clauses carry theirs in by-phrases, so conversion is a reorder; the third supplies no actor, so there is nothing to build the active clause around.
